Click on the button below to download this ISO file to your pc. Click on the “Download R for (Mac) OS X” link shown at the top of the page. Select a CRAN location (a mirror site) and click the corresponding link. Open an internet browser and go to Click the “download R” link shown in the first paragraph under “Getting Started. Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger, Mac OS X Server v10.4 Tiger, Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard, Mac OS X Server v10.5 Leopard, Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8, Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks at Least 32 MB of RAM, a mouse, and enough disk space to save the required information (files, disk images, etc.). Debian Linux has a version of R in its standard repositories, and has done since 1997 apparently! Let’s see which version is available at the moment: sudo apt search r-base grep ^r-base Which gives us the following output: Nothing wrong with R 3.3.3 but it’s a bit long in the tooth now and I’d prefer a newer version. ![]()
